(REIT)
A Mid-Atlantic focused private REIT was launched in March
2006 by LBC and The Bernstein Companies of Washington, DC.
This private REIT's investment strategy is to acquire and
enhance strategically located, stabilized, commercial office
properties in suburban and central business district locations
in the Mid-Atlantic markets of the U.S., including Washington,
DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Richmond.
This REIT is intended to generate
long-term, risk adjusted returns on the return spectrum between
"core" real estate returns, represented by the NCREIF Property
Index, and the higher "opportunity" returns sought by opportunistic
funds, such as The
Consortium Series. The fund prudently and moderately
uses leverage in its portfolio of core assets to achieve core-plus
results.
